Nathan Williams - Managing Director

 

Nathan Williams, filmmaker and producer, set up NKWilliams. After leaving Staffordshire University with a degree in Film Production with Management, Nathan decided to start his own business providing entertaining and visually compelling video to the West Midlands.

 

Nathan has already had a varied and exciting start to his career working for clients such as Specsavers, Bill Bailey and exciting new martial arts sport, Combat32. 

 

Nathan’s main skill is producing and production management,  through working on many different projects from corporate video to feature films, NKWilliams can access their own database of photographers, cameramen, editors and designers to provide a bespoke package to suit your needs and your budget!

 

 Rebecca Birchall - Marketing Assistant

 

Rebecca Birchall, Staffordshire University Law graduate, joined NKW in June.  Rebecca has also recently completed a HR course and a business development course with the Chamber of Commerce.  

 

Rebecca was one of the first students to complete a degree within two years.  This required continued study throughout the summer through distance learning and self based study.  Throughout university Rebecca worked as a Lifeguard at the Alton Towers Waterpark, volunteered at the Stoke on Trent Citizens Advice Bureau and was a student mentor.

 

Rebecca joins NKW as a Marketing Assistant and has always had an interest in Marketing.  Rebecca comments ' I have always been intrigued by marketing and at every opportunity got involved in marketing with Alton Towers, I attended promotional events at universities and course ran by the learning and development team at Alton Towers such as brand awareness.

Corporate Video:

 

Produced a promotional video for ‘Combat32’ a mixed martial arts TV show for digital channel LA Muscle TV. 

 

Worked for Specsavers at their ‘Specsavers Spectacle Wearer of the year 2009’ at the London Clothes Show

 

Camera Operation for a charity football match at The Britannia Stadium between Team Pele and Gordon Banks 2008

 

Hired for Chrysalis Promotions to produce a corporate video for their International Fitness Showcase in Blackpool in March 08/09

 

Filmed the Bill Bailey concert live at the Brighton Dome with the BBC concert orchestra Feb 09

 

Graphic Design:

 

Worked with singing sensation ‘The Darling of Showbiz’ Sarah Dennis to develop, design and produce a range of promotional marketing material for a new line up of shows.

 

Developed and designed advertising material for The Leeds College of Music 07-09.

 

Worked with Vocal Artist Danielle Grace on a full re-brand, which will be used to re-launch her new work online. Work included project development, photography, photo editing and manipulation, designing promotional material and making work website ready.

 

Educational Video:

 

Co-Directed (for two consecutive years) a 15minute educational D.V.D funded by the local network group working with young people from under-privileged areas

 

Feature Films:

 

Currently Co-producing a low budget feature film The City of Hell an adapted screenplay from the publishers of Black Mask Magazine. 

 

Associate Producer on a low budget action feature film “Money Kills”-which is currently in the distribution stage. Job roles on this 10-month project included scheduling, casting, crewing, location hunting and managing people and performance.

 

Awards and Nominations:

 

Produced an award winning film noir ‘Darklight’ which won ‘Best Lighting’ at the YIFTA’s (yifta.co.uk) 08; Darklight since then been nominated for ‘Best Drama’ and ‘Best of Festival’ at the Inspire Film Festival 09. 

 

Produced and directed a music video for singer Danielle Grace which was nominated for ‘Best Music Video’ and the YIFTA’s and Inspire Film Festival 09

 

Received a Media and Print Award from ‘The School of Media and Journalism’ 2004.
